A Season for everything

In my current study the introduction speaks as loudly as the rest....

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

"Imagine trying to stay balanced on top of a ball.  How long could you last? A few seconds? A few minutes? Perhaps longer?
As busy women, so many of us want more balance in our lives, but balance is impossible to maintain.  Sometimes life picks up speed without warning or slows down unexpectedly.  Sometimes we're pulled in many directions all at once.  Sometimes we find ourselves pushed by our schedules, commitments, and unexpected needs in life.  And any sense of balance is lost." - Margaret Feinberg

How true is that. We all try so hard to maintain balance. I know I lost it for a long time. The balance between wife, mom, and me.  You can't always be balanced but working towards means to me that you are in a good place. Life is forever changing.  That is okay. You just have to learn to go with the flow. To be more like a willow tree than always trying to be like the oak.

Take time. Time for God. Time for your yourself. Time for your spouse or significant other. Time for your kids. Time for your extended family. Time for your friends.  Time for your pets.

Notice I left out the dishes, the laundry, the dry cleaning.  Those things will always be there. There will always be another load of dishes to do...especially in our house....always another load of laundry. But this moment. This moment with those that you love, and yes you should love yourself too, those moments won't always be there.

A season for everything remember. There will be a season when the house is spotless....somewhere between kids and grandkids....you won't like it as much as you think you will...it will be way to quiet.
