A Season for everything

In my current study the introduction speaks as loudly as the rest....

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

"Imagine trying to stay balanced on top of a ball.  How long could you last? A few seconds? A few minutes? Perhaps longer?
As busy women, so many of us want more balance in our lives, but balance is impossible to maintain.  Sometimes life picks up speed without warning or slows down unexpectedly.  Sometimes we're pulled in many directions all at once.  Sometimes we find ourselves pushed by our schedules, commitments, and unexpected needs in life.  And any sense of balance is lost." - Margaret Feinberg

How true is that. We all try so hard to maintain balance. I know I lost it for a long time. The balance between wife, mom, and me.  You can't always be balanced but working towards means to me that you are in a good place. Life is forever changing.  That is okay. You just have to learn to go with the flow. To be more like a willow tree than always trying to be like the oak.

Take time. Time for God. Time for your yourself. Time for your spouse or significant other. Time for your kids. Time for your extended family. Time for your friends.  Time for your pets.

Notice I left out the dishes, the laundry, the dry cleaning.  Those things will always be there. There will always be another load of dishes to do...especially in our house....always another load of laundry. But this moment. This moment with those that you love, and yes you should love yourself too, those moments won't always be there.

A season for everything remember. There will be a season when the house is spotless....somewhere between kids and grandkids....you won't like it as much as you think you will...it will be way to quiet.

Perfective Ceuticals Divine Age Guardian Cream

I got this on January 25th at an extreme discounted price to give my honest opinion.
The box and packaging is very pretty and the first thing I noticed right off the bat.

The next thing I did was took a picture....that was hard for me to do without make up and my hair done. But I knew that I needed to to ensure I could tell. The lighting in my house isn't the best so the pictures aren't great but they are me none the less LOL

Yes that is me, wrinkles, lines, and dark circles and all.

I started out using exactly like they said....morning and night.

About 2 weeks later I took another picture....

Thinking to me it doesn't look any better but could be lighting, time of day, and how much water was in my system too.

Then today I took another picture....

Not sure if it is my imagination or not but I think I can see a difference from the top two until now....

Can you??

Typically 90 days is a much better way to judge a product like this but as of right now it gets my thumbs up! I haven't been consistent lately...I was getting acne and couldn't decided if it was because of this or because of my hormones being stronger right now. I will continue to use it and see where it goes!

The smell was not over powering so that is a definite plus and it is very rich and creamy. Moisturizer are good for your face so it certainly can't be hurting me right :)

A Time for Everything

I was giving the book A Time For Everything: Discovering the Beautiful Rhythms of Life.  It is a Women of Faith study guide.  It was given to me before Christmas. I knew then that I definitely needed to read it. Front to Back. But I let myself get in the way. I let life get me down, keep me distracted and off task. I let the Devil lead me away from it. God knew I needed it. The secret Santa knew I needed it. But so did the Devil. So instead of doing what I needed to be done; I let everything get in the way.

Time to get back to it. Jump back in and do the dirty work so to speak. God has been reaching out to me. Reminding me that I am not focused where I need to be. What a great way to get back on track. I know that if I tried to do it myself, without a guide, it wouldn't happen. I get distracted way to easily.

I will share bits and piece of it here. I obviously don't want to share the whole book. Feel free to join with me, share your comments, your struggles and your successes. We have to stick together!

The forward was written by Patsy Clairmont. I thought I would share just a little of it here:

"I love watching Spring win over Winter.  Take the hyacinth: she butts her pretty little head against the half frozen earth and somehow wins.  Up she comes from the darkness shouting victory in pink, purple, and white regalia.  And even when she finds herself petal-deep in late snow she shakes it off and lifts her curly bob to the sun.  You can almost hear her sing, "I got rhythm, I got rhythm" because that girl knows how to move to the music of her design.  And Hyacinth is aware as she pushes through the hardship of her circumstances that it's her season to bloom.  And nothing is going to stop her - not winter's icy grip and not earth's dark tomb."

These are Crocus flowers from my front yard...no snow but they sure are trying. Grandpa planted these years ago and they still make me smile.

That is the very first paragraph and let me tell you it rings out to me! When times get tough, mother nature knows how to push through. Knows what needs to be done.  Doesn't let late snow or hard times keep the beautiful flowers from coming through. To remind us that Spring is near.

I want to be that way. I want to be a woman that pushes through. That others can look at and say I can do it because they saw me stand tall.

Don't get me wrong. I am extremely blessed. I have a roof over my head and it doesn't even leak.  I have a car to drive. I have heat, food, and clean water.  I have a family who loves me and friends who care for me.

Not to say that everything is all rainbows and sunshine. It's life. That is not the way it goes 24/7.  But I am learning to "Find Joy in Journey" ....more on that later.....

So it is time for me to stand up - Hold my head high - And remind myself that I am strong!

XYZlicone Infinity Band

This is apparently all the rage! Silicone wedding bands. For Athletes, Working individuals and all the rest! All I could think was where was this when my husband was doing electrical work. Could have saved him a shock or two ;) (He knew he wasn't suppose to be wearing his ring but he insisted!)

When given the chance to review this at a discounted price; I jumped at the chance.  First impressions were good as I opened the package to find this box! Pretty neat looking right!

Just as impressed with the inside and just like advertised....there were two rings in the box! Not bad for the price if you ask me.

Get yours at Amazon

They suggested a ring sizer to us to help out and it was spot one. As soon as hubby got home from work I had him slip it on...I do mean literally ....didn't even let him take off his boots or hang up his coat!

I can say at first we were a little disappointed. Thinner than you would think with the pictures but that turned out to be a good thing later. Also, first thing he said was it looked like he had a rubber gasket on his finger. LOL

I asked him to wear it at least 24 hours and let me know what he thought.
He came home from work today and had plenty good to say. He said that a couple of guys even asked him about it. They had apparently already heard of silicone rings and wanted to know how it felt.

He said it was light weight and can't really tell he even had it on. He said it would catch on some surfaces because of the silicone material but it wasn't bad.  He didn't like that he couldn't spin it with his fingers like his ring though ;)

Sound Intone E6 In-ear Earbuds

The Sound Intone Earbuds! (I received these to review at a super discount price. )

Most probably won't bring this up but I love that the box was easy to open and they were easy to get out as well. LOL It's the little things right ;)

They have a neat carry case they come with as well as different sizes of ear pieces. We all have different sized ears and this is really important. I love the cord too as it will last longer and will be harder break.

When I first put them on it was a little difficult to get them where I wanted but once I did it was great. I will be giving them to my husband so that if he wants to go running he can use them. I don't run but I am betting they will stay in place!

The sound quality was great! I plugged them into my computer and turned on the music :) I could hear over the video games in the background quite well and only had the computer volume at 32%. Definitely worth it!

I do believe I will be getting more for the kids....they are super hard on earbuds and earphones, with the stronger cord and carrying case...they should last longer!

Want some of your own? Get them at Amazon!
